How to Get Started with Typesamurai: A Beginner’s Guide
Typesamurai is a platform that lets you practice typing and earn points for your efforts. In this guide, I’ll explain how it functions, what you can do with the points, and why it might be useful for you. This article will give you an overview of how to get started with the platform.
How to get started at Typesamurai
Getting started with Typesamurai is straightforward—just a few steps to set up and begin typing. This section covers the essentials to help you dive in and start earning points.
1. Visit the Website
Open your browser and go to Typesamurai.com. The homepage provides Sign-up and Sign-in options.
2. Sign up
If you’re a new user, locate the “Sign Up” button at the top right of the homepage and click it. Depending on your preference, you’ll then need to choose between signing up with your Gmail ID or Facebook account.
3. Dashboard
Once you’ve signed up, you’ll be taken to the User Dashboard, which will look like the one shown in the image below.
If you look at the header menu, you’ll notice a new option, “Play for Points”. This option only appears after you sign up.
On the left side of the screen, ensure you add or update your Preferred Payment Method, Payment Email Address, Payment ID (e.g., UPI ID), and Other Details. Be sure to enter accurate information in these fields, as they will be used when processing payments or rewards.
Note: If the Payment ID or Payment Email Address is missing, we may not be able to process your payment. Please ensure that you enter these details as soon as you sign up.
For International Users, please ensure you select PayPal as your preferred payment method.
On the right side of the screen, you’ll see the following fields:
a) Credits Available - Each day, users receive 500 credits to use in “Play for Points” mode. Playing one game consumes 1 credit.
b) Points Earned Today - Shows the points earned by the user that day in “Play for Points” mode.
c) Total Points - Displays the total points earned by the user to date.
You’ll also find your referral link on this page. The referral points system will be explained in the upcoming sections.
4. Play for Points
Here’s how you earn points from the typing test. From the header menu, select the “Play for Points” option.
Enter the captcha details and click the “Play” button. Then, complete the 1-minute typing test.
Once the test is finished, you’ll be taken to the Results page, which should look like the image below.
WPM stands for Words Per Minute, and CWPM stands for Correct Words Per Minute. You earn one point for each correct word typed. For example, if your CWPM is 57, you receive 57 points. Each day, you can play until all your credits are used.
5. Referrals
Access this section from the “My Account” menu in the top-right corner of the screen.
Referral points consist of two components: Instant Points and Pending Points.
For each new user who signs up using your referral link, you’ll receive Instant Points (50) added to your Total Points immediately. Pending Points (200) are added to the referrer’s Total Points only after the referred user scores more than 1000 points.
Note: Your referral link is located in the User Dashboard section.
6. Withdrawals
The next section, Withdrawals, can also be found under the “My Account” drop-down menu.
If your Total Points exceed 1250, you can create a request by selecting the “Withdraw Now” button. Once a withdrawal request is submitted, its status will be “Pending.” Depending on the "Preferred Payment Method" chosen in the User Dashboard, the amount will be paid through that method.
After the admin processes the withdrawal request, the status will be updated to “Approved” or “Rejected”. As mentioned earlier, the withdrawal request will only be accepted if the user has already added the Payment ID and the Payment Email Address to the dashboard. If approved, you can view the details for each ticket by clicking the “i” icon next to its status.
